Description:

General Urban Development Plans (PGOU) are instruments created by the Law on Urban Planning of Andalusia (LOUA) to establish the development of the entire territory of a municipality and design the management strategy that will run it. The PGOU defines the general structure of the territory, classifies the types of land for development, provides the appropriate legal regimes for each class and category, establishes the rights and duties of each one or indicates what priority the planning is. The principles from which the PGOUs of these municipalities of Almeria have been designed, have been promoting sustainable and cohesive development in social and economic terms, the preservation of historical, cultural and artistic heritage, seeking new growth opportunities, the protection and enhancement of environmental resources and the preemption of general interest over any other.
